Silvered bronze with incised Secessionist and waterfall motifs, lower section with green patination
A very stylish and finely worked bronze vase by Gustav Gurschner (1873-1970). It has a rich verde-green patinated lower area with a “jeweled” collar in an intricately detailed Secession/Byzantine style totally unique to Gurschner's work.
Marks: GURSCHNER (on the side), 544/110 (stamped on bottom)
