HDI Exhibition pick: “Manus x Machina” at the Met

Special exhibits at the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art here in New York are always very high on our list. Being in the decorative arts business, you have a very good understanding of the very labor intensive making of hand made couture and avant-garde ready to wear and you understand the precise art of machine made couture. Many, many hours of labor go into these creations and the results are breathtaking. Walking into the “Manus x Machina” exhibit is like a dream, it is very beautifully presented and very well documented. This is an exhibit that will speak to many and Andrew Bolton, once again, is presenting a wonderful and absolutely genius exhibit! We hope you can make it to New York to experience this exhibit in person, there is a lot to see and The Met is always worth a visit!
