HDI Exhibition pick: “Ettore Sottsass Design Radical” at the Met Breuer
The Met Breuer just opened an exhibition on the the Italian architect and designer Ettore Sottsass (1917–2007). It’s an absolutely wonderful show that we highly recommend that evaluates Sottsass’s career in a presentation of key works in a range of media—including architectural drawings, interiors, furniture, machines, ceramics, glass, jewelry, textiles and pattern, painting, and photography. It is an amazing experience to see the work of Sottsass, what inspired him and the artists that were inspired by Sottsass. This exhibit will mesmerize you by the various juxtapositions, the deep colors and the wonderful selections of his work. We can highly recommend a visit and we hope you enjoy this exhibit as much as we did. Below are a few of our highlights of the show. “Ettore Sottsass Design Radical” is on view at the Met Breuer until October 8th, 2017.
