HDI Exhibition pick – Reimagining Modernism: 1900-1950 at the met
The Metropolitan Museum of Art reinstalled galleries that showcase modern art from 1900 to 1950 throughout nine galleries of the Wallace Wing. The new ongoing installation entitled Reimagining Modernism: 1900–1950 reinterprets the holdings of the Met’s modernist paintings, sculpture, design, photography, and works on paper from that time period and highlights the works in a fresh way. European and American modernist collections are shown together and it is quite fascinating to see decorative arts integrated with the paintings and sculpture on view. We hope you enjoy our personal highlights and that you may have a chance to see this installation in person yourself.
