HDI Exhibition Pick: “Nicholas Krushenick” at the Tang
As mentioned in our previous Musings entry, we found ourselves at the beautiful Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York recently. We toured the beautiful Tang and caught the splendid exhibit currently on view by New York Pop artist Nicholas Krushenick (May 31, 1929 – February 5, 1999). The show is titled “Electric Soup” and the compositions were indeed radiating with bold colors, black lines and hard-edged abstractions. Krushenick attended the Art Students League of New York from 1948-1950 and the Hans Hofmann School of Art in 1951. He is considered one of the forerunners of the pop art movement and his work can be found in major permanent collections in the United States and throughout the world. Enjoy our personal highlights from the exhibit and for more information click here!
The show is on view until August 16, 2015.
