While in Milwaukee a visit to the Milwaukee Art Museum cannot be missed. The brilliant Calatrava addition is thriving and the only accessible part of the museum at this moment. Both the Saarinen building and the Kahler building are being completely renovated and will reopen with newly designed permanent exhibition spaces later this year. Stay tuned for the grand re-opening!

The current exhibition  Van Gogh to Pollock: Modern Rebels features over seventy works from the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, New York, renowned for its exceptional collection of twentieth-century art. The artists represented in this exhibit challenged convention and many of the works featured impacted the history of modern art and are considered icons of their time.
