“Diamond” Anniversary Celebration at the Beverly Hilton
The Beverly Hilton celebrated their “Sweet 60” this last Friday, August 21st. The “Diamond” Anniversary was hosted by Neil Lane, L.A. Jewelry Designer to the Stars. Many of his spectacular diamond ensembles were featured along side photos of the stars flaunting them on the Red Carpet or at the Golden Globes. The “larger than life” Mae West diamond bracelet was dazzling with too many carats to count and the Ginger Rogers Paul Flato emerald diamond and gold “Horn of Plenty” suite was a most unique and important feature! Hats off to Beny Alagem, the owner of the Beverly Hilton for maintaining the vintage integrity of the hotel and leveraging its legendary history from the opening in 1955 featuring the renowned “Athletic Goddess of the Pool”, Esther Williams to the present day. The party was an “Old Hollywood Style” extravaganza with delicious food and specialty cocktails coordinated to the specialty eras going back in time to visit the style and sass of bygone days. The party was a spectacular event with a fine musical performance by Gavin DeGraw along with the seamless tunes of celebrity DJ Michelle Pesce and the charming and retro chic Aqualillies.
