HDI Exhibition pick: “Jacqueline de Ribes The Art of Style” at the Met
Jacqueline de Ribes is a style icon and has been on the Best Dressed list since 1962. The Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York is currently exhibiting sixty ensembles of haute couture and ready to wear from the personal archive of the de Ribes’s collection. You will find spectacular ball gowns and you will see a focus on her originality and elegance that established her as one of the most important fashion icons of the 20th Century. Jacqueline de Ribes was not only a style icon, but also a successful business woman and she directed her own design business from 1982-1995. The exhibit also highlights documentation from her personal archive and showcases her personal life as a business woman and philanthropist. We hope you enjoy our favorite highlights!
