HDI Exhibition Tip: “Renaissance and Reformation: German Art in the Age of Dürer and Cranach” at LACMA
A recent visit to LACMA lead us to the spectacular exhibit: “Renaissance and Reformation: German Art in the Age of Dürer and Cranach”. The exhibitions marks the 500th anniversary of the Reformation and shows some of the greatest work from the German Renaissance Art. The exhibition comprises a range of paintings, drawings, sculptures, and precious objects creating a complex portrait of a pivotal time in history. On display are works by German masters such as Dürer, Cranach, Holbein, Riemenschneider, and Grünewald, offering an insight into the religious, social, and political life of that turbulent time. On view until March 26th, 2017 at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). Enjoy some of our favorite portraits!
