HDI Exhibition Pick: “Florine Stettheimer: Painting Poetry” at The Jewish Museum, New York
We recently ventured to The Jewish Museum to visit the exhibition “Florine Stettheimer: Painting Poetry”. Florine Stettheimer (1871–1944) is an icon of Jazz Age New York and her work is absolutely spellbinding. The deep colors and the vivid details are mesmerizing and every single painting is a study on it’s own. The exhibition highlights the artist’s distinctly personal style of painting, Stettheimer’s position amidst New York’s artistic elite and the avant-garde, and her continued influence on artistic practice today. Florine Stettheimer is an artist who will transport you into her glamorous world in a very unique way! Enjoy some of our favorite paintings!
