Richard Serra “Band”, Broad Contemporary Art Museum, LACMA, Los Angeles

Richard Serra and his monumental sculptures don’t need an introduction. We were mesmerized with Serra’s “Band” from 2006. At about twenty tons it was no small feat to install. It is quite an experience to walk and follow the contours of this mesmerizing sculpture and to take in the sheer scale. “Band” is now part of LACMA’s permanent collection and on view at the Broad.
